O Rio Alvor (ou Ria de Alvor) é um pequeno rio português, resultante da união de quatro cursos de água nascidos na encosta Sul da Serra de Monchique: a ribeira do Farelo e a ribeira da Torre (que desaguam na sua margem a nascente) e a ribeira de Odiáxere com a sua aflente ribeira do Arão (que desaguam na margem poente). A partir daí estabelece uma ria alargada, que constitui a fronteira natural entre as freguesias de Odiáxere (concelho de Lagos), Mexilhoeira Grande e Alvor (concelho de Portimão).
A Ria de Alvor está reconhecida como Sítio de Importância Comunitária (PTCON0058). Dela fazem parte dunas cinzentas, praias e estuários, terrenos agrícolas, mato semi-natural, pinhal e sapais salgados, além de abrigar espécies e habitats de interesse comunitário, conforme a Directiva Habitats. As duas maiores propriedades na Ria de Alvor são a Quinta da Rocha e a Abicada .
The Rio Alvor (or Ria de Alvor) is a small river Portuguese, resulting from the union of four watercourses born in south slope of the Serra de Monchique: the banks of the river Bran and Tower (which flow in your room to the east) and Odiáxere creek with its aflente banks of Aaron (which flow into the west bank). From then establishes a broad estuary, which forms the natural boundary between the parishes of Odiáxere (municipality of Lagos), Mexilhoeira Grande and Alvor (Portimão).
The Ria de Alvor is recognized as a Site of Community Importance (PTCON0058) .1 Her part gray dunes, beaches and estuaries, agricultural land, semi-natural forest, pine forest and salt marshes, besides hosting habitats and species of Community interest, as the Habitats Directive.
The two largest properties in the Ria de Alvor are the Quinta da Rocha and Abicada.
